Achieving a perfect score during multiple, rigorous tests taking place over the course of 2022, this is the sixth time Bitdefender Mobile Security has earned the distinction of “Best Android Security” from AV-TEST when evaluated among competitive offerings. and for advanced users, we'd love a debug flag or a hidden setting (like clicking 5 times to get into android debug mode) to check a box to allow full disk scanning.BUCHAREST, Romania & SANTA CLARA, Calif.-( BUSINESS WIRE)-Bitdefender, a global cybersecurity leader, today announced Bitdefender Mobile Security was named Best Android Security 2022 by AV-TEST, a leading independent testing organization that retains one of the world’s largest collections of malware samples. What can be done about this? I love the software, but for Android it has a huge freakin' blind spot. Pegasus has proven that novel methods can be performed to either get root, or privesc to run root commands and we need to know about stuff like this. But i tell you what - i'd rather know my device is infected and re-image it (or hell, even replace it) than keep using it not knowing if my system files or OEM packages have been modified. Look, i know there isn't anything that can be done unless the device is rooted. However, i have to ask, can there not be a setting or flag to turn this on for more advanced users? Maybe even something through ADB and command line? ![]() I understand from BitDefenders point of view that there isn't much to be gained, particularly by the masses to scan all files on an Android device.
